I tried AOL 7.0's special offer for a TimeWarner high speed cable connection through the AOL service. TimeWarner came to install my cable modem today and it works fine - gives me an IP address and everything. I installed the AOL 7.0 software and went to sign on through my new connection and it hangs at Step 5:

I've chucked the AOL folder, and a couple of extensions relating to AOL, into the bin, but when I go to the TCP/IP control panel, there is no option to connect via ethernet, only PPP or Appletalk. Normally the Ethernet option should show up only when you are connected to an Ethernet device.
